RØDE Central: the app for RØDE’s microphones.

What it is

RØDE Central is the companion app for RØDE’s compatible microphones and interfaces. It adjusts device settings, unlocks advanced features, turns functions on and off, and installs firmware. There is a desktop app for Mac and Windows and a mobile app, RØDE Central Mobile, for iOS and Android that supports a subset of the products.

On mobile, the App Store listing names the Wireless ME, Wireless GO II, VideoMic GO II, AI-Micro, NT-USB+, Wireless PRO and Interview PRO.

Not for the RØDECaster

Until May 2025 RØDE Central also handled the RØDECaster Pro II, Duo, Video and Streamer X. With version 2.0.94 that side became the separate RØDECaster App. The original 2018 RØDECaster Pro was never in Central; it uses the Companion App.

Recent additions

• 2.0.111 — choose a local folder when loading audio recordings; stability fixes.
• 2.0.110 — live audio metering; the option to decline optional firmware updates and keep running older firmware; a Gain Assist fix for the Wireless PRO and GO that could reset MANUAL mode to 0 dB.
• 2.0.108 — firmware updates no longer stick at completion on certain devices.
• 2.0.104 — Wireless Micro Camera receiver support; re-pair a Wireless Micro phone receiver with new transmitters.
• 2.0.103 — macOS 26 and iOS 26 compatibility; basic VideoMic ME support; a trimming tool to export part of a recording.
• 2.0.99 — loudness correction and bit-depth export options; full Japanese translation (Chinese arrived in 2.0.97).
